MIYAKO JAPANESE CUISINE has courteously served many gourmet Japanese dishes by the Yarra Riverside since opening in 1997, located at the upper level of Southgate Precinct for your premium dining experience. Over the past years we have received much praise and support from our patrons.
Our premises features a comfortable River View dining area for 90 diners including an open balcony section, and another separate Teppanyaki zone with two Teppanyaki tables each accommodating 24 “Yaki Foodies”. Our restaurant also features two VIP Tatami Rooms each seating 10 guests for a true Japanese style dining experience. Our menu is innovatively designed by our head chef Mr Kazu Nomura and his team, serving our favourite Japanese dishes with French influence. Being one of its kind in Melbourne, our exciting menu is certain to bring our customers a whole new level of experience in Japanese Cuisine.
Our Chef Mr Kazu Nomura was born and raised in Japan, and started his culinary dream in 1978 at the age of 18. Throughout the years Mr Nomura has been working in many different Japanese and French restaurants for over 30 years, learning the best from each of head chef including celebrity and Three-Star Michelin chef Paul Bocuse.
MIYAKO JAPANESE CUISINE is fully licensed and carries an interesting range of wines and Japanese Sake.
